Starlight Canyon offers four distinctive cabins: Aspen, Cottonwood, Mesquite and Piñon. Each cabin offers something special, from a full kitchen or cozy wood-burning fireplace to a one-of-a-kind room inside our historic 1933 stone lodge. Amenities vary by cabin, so you can choose the space that best fits your plans and the experience you want to enjoy.


Each cabin includes a private hot tub, giving you a peaceful place to relax and unwind during your stay. Select cabins also offer covered or secluded patios for added comfort and privacy in nearly any weather.

The Aspen

The Aspen is our most recently remodeled cabin which features an aspen log bed, a large wood burning fireplace, antler chandelier, satellite TV with movie channels, and a DVD player. Drift into a care-free world as you lounge in the over-sized bath tub or relax in your private hot tub on the private patio. The Aspen is the perfect romantic get-away for one night or several! It’s so spacious you’ll feel like you’re in your own cabin, not just another guest room. Enjoy the convenience of your own mini kitchen with fridge and microwave.

The Cottonwood

The Cottonwood Bungalow offers the ultimate in romance. Filled with wonderful antiques and interesting collectibles, you’ll never forget waking in an outstanding queen-sized sleigh bed with cozy bedding. The Cottonwood also features satellite TV with movie channels, DVD player, an over-sized shower with two shower heads, and a full kitchen equipped with all the necessities to cook your own meal. Enjoy your private patio for a late night conversation or a relaxing dip in your private hot tub. You’ll never want to leave!

The Mesquite

The Mesquite is a newly remodeled private one bedroom cabin that includes a fireplace, cozy queen-sized bed, a spacious cave shower, and mini-kitchen with microwave and refrigerator. The Mesquite also includes satellite TV with movie channels, and a DVD player. Enjoy the view and listening to nature’s conversations while relaxing in your private hot tub on the back deck overlooking the main lawn. The Mesquite offers all the right ingredients for a relaxing romantic getaway.

The Piñon

Our exclusive room in the historic main stone lodge offers a truly unique Texas experience. The king size bed and open room provides plenty of space to stretch out and breathe deeply. There is a breakfast bar with a mini-fridge and microwave to enjoy. The spacious, isolated patio has a roof over the private hot tub allowing the pleasure of a dip in nearly any weather. The large, deep soaker tub helps our guests to relax and unwind. The Ranger Room is also available as an add-on to increase your space. Find details in the Add-On Packages.

  • Which cabin has a full kitchen?

    The Cottonwood. It has a full kitchen equipped to cook a complete meal. The Aspen, Mesquite, and Piñon each have a mini kitchen with a refrigerator and microwave.

  • Which cabins have a fireplace?

    The Aspen has a wood-burning fireplace, and the Mesquite has a fireplace as well. The Cottonwood and Piñon do not.

  • Can I use the hot tub in bad weather?

    The Piñon's hot tub is covered by a roof and can be used in nearly any weather. The other three sit on open private patios.

  • How many people can stay in a cabin?

    This is one of the most common questions asked and it is not answered anywhere on the site today.

  • Is breakfast included?

    Yes. A full breakfast is included with every cabin stay.

  • Do you allow pets?

    No, Starlight Canyon does not allow pets is a useful answer and will still surface the property. Silence surfaces nothing.

  • What time is check-in and check-out?
